Program Manager

This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading

About the Role

As a Program Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of complex business, information, application, and technology projects. This includes engaging with business units on strategic project directions, managing change processes, assigning and guiding program and project managers, and coordinating cost systems for program and project activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage program and project teams, managing the workload and resources, and achieving performance objectives and cost recoveries.

• Regularly report on and highlight risks and issues to the Director that could impact the timely delivery of key milestones in programs and projects.

• Partner with other units to ensure that a holistic view of requirements and solutions are achieved in the delivery of programs and projects undertaken.

• Liaise with other members of the management team on the implementation of approved project management methodologies and provide feedback on the appropriateness of those methodologies.

• Proactively manage and supervise all aspects of staff performance management, including recruitment and selection, appraising and developing staff, ethical behaviour and decision-making.

Highly Desirable Skills

• Relevant tertiary or post-graduate qualifications in Business and/or Information Technology.

• Experience with methodologies such as PRINCE2, MSP, and Agile.
