Applicants from diverse backgrounds including First Nations peoples, people with disability and those from different cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply.What you will do asthe Assistant Director, Design and Publications Reporting to the Director of Campaigns, Design and Social Media, the Assistant Director of Design and Publications is the 'front door' to the ACCC's graphic design studio. In This Role You Will Be Responsible For
- The day-to-day management of the ACCC's graphic design team and its workflow, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard
- Working collaboratively with internal clients to develop on-brand design solutions that work across different formats, devices and channels, and for diverse audiences
- Working 'on the tools' to create visually engaging and consumer-friendly designs that drive engagement with and understanding of ACCC messages.
About You In order to succeed in the role, you will have:
- demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with clients and stakeholders, build and maintain professional working relationships, achieve outcomes, and facilitate cooperation
- demonstrated ability to provide a significant contribution to innovation and business improvement strategies
- demonstrated ability to consider and effectively manage competing priorities and strategic directions when achieving team planning and project outcomes in line with agency goals and objectives
- sound experience of working at a Manager or Senior Designer level and proven ability to lead, develop and coach a team to deliver projects to high standards and to deadlines
- demonstrated ability to develop infographics, animated videos, and visual design solutions to meet client needs, ideally using Adobe creative suite.
