We are seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Accountant to join our Finance team! How You’ll Shine As the Senior Corporate Accountant you will be responsible for monthly financial reporting for our Pacific region in accordance with USGAAP, along with annual audit and taxation compliance across our Group in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. The Role Also Involves

  • Develop and lead a team of both Bundall and Clark based accountants
  • Ensuring tight financial controls are maintained in accordance with group policies, procedures and accounting practices.
  • Administer the audit cycle and manage the relationship with external auditors.
  • Manage all tax requirements across NZ, Fiji and Australia including but not limited to FBT, BAS, GST, ITR, Transfer pricing and WHT
  • Review all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and ensure items are cleared as required.
  • Co-ordinate the preparation of the Annual and half yearly reports and filing with ASIC
  • Ensure intercompany accounts are reconciled monthly and that appropriate controls are in place to minimize discrepancies
  • Identify any areas of weakness in controls and recommend/take action.
  • Managing the Financial Accountant and Corporate Accountant for the TNL Group team based in the Gold Coast office to ensure accurate and timely delivery of financial information.
  • Preparation of monthly financial results and balance sheet reconciliations, including financial reviews, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies.
  • Meeting all taxation compliance requirements for the WDAP Pacific region including annual tax returns, FBT, WHT and GST returns
  • Preparation of annual statutory financial statements and liaison with external auditors
  • Preparation of Technical Accounting Papers and accounting treatment reviews
  • Internal Sarbanes-Oxley program compliance

What You’ll Bring To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • CPA/CAANZ qualification with 5+ years post qualification experience
  • Strong work ethic with outstanding customer service in a deadline driven environment
  • Public Practice experience is an advantage
  • Current exposure to Australian and GAAP Accounting Standards, with USGAAP experience an advantage
  • High level of technical accounting skills with proficiency at writing Technical Accounting Papers
  • Experience with Peoplesoft or similar large scale General Ledger system
  • Experience in complex multiple business structures, preferably multi-currency
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
