About the role
The Project Officer, Bus Stop Infrastructure, supports the delivery of key bus stop programs, including accessibility upgrades and shelter installations. This role manages minor civil works, coordinates with contractors and government agencies, and ensures compliance with accessibility and operational standards. It involves developing design solutions, overseeing project timelines, and negotiating with stakeholders to enhance public transport infrastructure.
Additionally, the role includes reviewing bus stop locations, resolving community concerns, and representing the PTA in stakeholder meetings. The officer maintains and improves infrastructure databases, audits proposed locations and contributes to system enhancements. By preparing reports on bus stop usage and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards, the position plays a vital role in improving the public transport network.
About You!
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Experience in urban bus service infrastructure, Road Traffic Code applications, and/or accessibility standards for public transport.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with conflict resolution and teamwork abilities.
- Well-developed analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
- Project management experience, stakeholder coordination, and proficiency in spreadsheets and databases.

There is one permanent full-time opportunity available for an immediate start.
This is a pool recruitment process where suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months.
To be eligible to work permanently at the PTA you must be either an Australian Citizen, have Permanent Residency status or hold a current visa with permanent working rights in Australia.
