Insolvency Analyst - Assistant Manager

Position Summary: At RSM in our Restructuring and Recovery practice in Canberra we are looking to speak with insolvency specialists from Analyst to Assistant Manager level. You will be involved insolvency, restructuring and turnaround engagements from end to end and depending on your level of experience you will either be a contributor or a manager of these appointments. • Conduct or support interviews of directors/bankrupts
• Attends premises to assist with trade on of a business and prepares budgets and forecasts
• Liaises with lawyers, agents, auctioneers
• Oversees and coordinates realisation of assets of a company or individual
• Monitors statutory deadlines
• Shares knowledge, best practices and industry market trends to actively increase the overall knowledge of the team.
• Reviews work of junior team members.
• Ensure processing of information into the Firms systems has been properly recorded.
• Identifies, researches and resolves all complex issues.

Essential EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major
• Law degree (LLB or JD) with an interest in Insolvency

Desirable

• Involvement with technical insolvency forums/training
• Completed CA or equivalent if holding an accounting degree
• Completed the ARITA Advanced Certification if holding a law degree

Essential DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:

• 2+ years’ experience in Professional Services
• Strong Communication Skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Desirable

• Previous experience managing a team
• Strong networking skills
