As State Manager you will have a key leadership role within the mortgage and finance broking industry across South Australia and Northern Territory. The ideal candidate is someone who has existing experience in the finance industry, exceptional relationship and client management skills and thrives working in a dynamic fast-paced environment. This role is based in Adelaide and will require travel.
Responsibilities
As part of a national business development team this role is responsible for building relationships across the mortgage and finance industry to grow our membership base and to enhance membership value.
We are seeking a high performing Business Development Manager with ability to:
- Engage mortgage and finance brokers and other industry participants.
- Develop, build and maintain new and existing relationships with mortgage and finance brokers, aggregators, lenders and to drive membership growth and manage retention.
- Be a brand leader when representing the MFAA in the mortgage and finance broking industry.
- Actively share mortgage and finance brokers needs and share intel and insights with the broader business to help mitigate risk and capitalise on opportunities.
- Collaborate with the business development and broader business teams to achieve shared success.
- Demonstrate professional behaviours that constructively challenge or improve existing processes and procedures by reimagining and finding better ways of doing things to enhance membership value.
- Develop and implement a well-defined and maintained account plan to a high standard.
Role Requirements
- Knowledge of the mortgage and finance broking industry.
- Demonstrated ability to understand third-party mortgage industry regulations and reforms to assist mortgage and finance brokers with their enquiries.
- Minimum 5 plus years related business development experience in the mortgage and finance broking industry.
- Ability to develop and deploy account management strategies
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills and ability to present to an audience.
- Experience servicing existing clients and identifying new business opportunities.
- Proven track record of contributing to successful results.
