Associate Lawyer - Corporate and Commercial (3+ PAE)

ABOUT YOU:

You’re a confident, reliable and principled lawyer looking for a new opportunity in the legal industry, or to take your profile and practice to a new level as part of CXT Legal; a National Finalist in Lawyer’s Weekly Transactions and Commercial Law Team of the Year 2024.

You have at least 3 years experience post-admission commercial law, and you bring a positive, logical, and productive approach to your work.

Your expertise in commercial law, gained in a firm environment, includes a focus or interest in corporate and commercial transactions in the private market. Passionate about your profession, you prioritise relationships and thrive in dynamic, collaborative environments.

You enjoy problem-solving and being an integral part of a close-knit team.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to our Director, you’ll drive team productivity, building trusted relationships with clients. Supported by a team of award-winning lawyers (led by Lawyers’ Weekly National Corporate Partner of the Year, 2023, Christos Tsonis), your responsibilities include drafting communications, clarifying client instructions, shaping team culture, and reviewing/drafting various legal documents. 

Key attributes will be:

• 3+ years post-admission experience in corporate or commercial law
• Strong grounding or interest in private M&A, business sales, capital raising or structuring
• Confident communicator who can engage directly with clients and advisors
• Clear thinker with a commercial mindset and attention to detail
• Someone who enjoys ownership, team collaboration, and building trusted relationships
• Ambitious but grounded—wants to grow their technical and market reputation
• Comfortable working in a high-performing, close-knit team with real momentum
• Looking for clarity in their next step and ready to help shape the next phase of the firm
