Test Engineer - Canberra

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1. Develop and execute manual and automated test scripts for desktop installed applications on a SOE device.
2. Coordinate user acceptance testing activities (i.e. UAT and Production Verification Testing) for desktop installed applications on a SOE device within expected timeframes.
3. Take ownership and coordinate the resolution of defects identified during user acceptance testing with packagers and other relevant teams as needed.
4. Create and deliver reports required to support testing activities undertaken (e.g. test progress, defect, etc).
5. Contribute to overall team deliverables and continuous improvement e.g. through monitoring and allocation of tasks, training and documentation.
6. Coordinate the user acceptance testing & post verification testing activities for the ServiceNow platform upgrades.

CapabilitiesProfessional / Technical Skills and Knowledge

1. Demonstrated understanding of the requirements, methodology and purpose of software testing in an enterprise environment.
2. Demonstrated capability in implementing and coordinating end to end testing of SOE based development and operational deliverables.
3. Demonstrated ability to develop, deliver and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases using industry proven test tools.
4. Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and trouble shooting skills to resolve immediate problems for customers, but also proactively put solutions in place to prevent issues from reoccurring.
5. Undertake onboarding and training of new staff as required.

Compliance Requirements / Qualifications

ITIL and ISTQB Foundation Certification would be advantageous
