Due to business growth, we have a newly created opportunity for a National Engineering Manager to join us and ensure the seamless integration of engineering excellence, innovation, and sustainability into project delivery. The successful candidate will provide leadership in the development and management of Work Packages across Liberty projects, ensuring consistency, quality and compliance of all engineering outputs. The National Engineering Manager will play a key role in supporting long-term growth, through effective collaboration, risk management and adherence to safety standards.

Make an impact in these key areas of responsibility:
- Business Development and Growth - contribute technical expertise to proposals, as well as identify opportunities to improve project delivery efficiency and develop solutions that support business growth.
- Capability Development - lead the development and continuous improvement of engineering capabilities, train and mentor project teams, and foster learning and innovation within the organisation.
- Management - responsible for the overall execution of work packages across Liberty's projects, develop and maintain trackers to ensure outcomes are aligned with timelines and budgets. Play the role of Chief Remote Pilot and oversee allocation and utilisation of the company's drone fleet.
- Leadership - provide guidance and steer cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of technical deliverables, facilitate meetings and provide effective communication to stakeholders.
- Health & Safety - embody and demonstrate commitment to Liberty's safety policies and procedures at all times. Support risk assessments associates with all work packages.
- Quality - oversee the development of consistent, high-quality work packages across all projects. Implement QA processes and ensure compliance to industry standards. Demonstrate commitment to operational excellence and exceeding client expectations.
- Innovation - drive innovation and integration of new technologies, maintain a continuous improvement mindset and encourage creative problem solving across the engineering teams.
- Collaboration - build strong relationships with internal teams and be the central point of contact for project teams and external stakeholders regarding engineering activities.
- Risks and Controls - implement risk management strategies to identify, assess and apply corrective actions and ensure minimal disruption to projects. Regularly review engineering processes to ensure best practice risk management.
- Compliance - keep up to date with all relevant regulatory and industry standards to ensure Liberty's practices and processes are fully compliant with obligations.
Bring the following skills and expertise:
- Significant experience in engineering project management, preferably within the demolition, remediation or infrastructure sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Chief Remote Pilot qualification.
- Experience in conducting drone surveys and using drone data for project management and 3D model creation.
- Proven experience in managing work packages and project schedules.
- Expertise in engineering design principles and modelling techniques.
- Proficiency in project management and engineering tools and software.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Inspires, motivates and develops high-performing teams.
- Highly organised, meticulous attention to detail, and quality focused.
- Superb problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
