Systems Engineer – Platform Integration

Our people are at the core of our success, bringing expertise, innovation, and leadership to critical Defence programs.  Our Technical, Advisory, and Capability (TAC) practice and Team Downer serves as one of the Major Service Providers delivering above-the-line consulting services and Integrated Work Packages across the Department of Defence, leveraging innovative approaches such as mission and digital engineering to enable the successful delivery of critical Defence programs. This includes engagement with key areas across Defence including Defence Digital Group (DDG), Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), and the Navy, Army, and Air Force.  We are currently seeking candidates for the next phase of a major Defence information environment modernisation program aimed at delivering the design, build, and deployment of their cutting-edge ICT environment. We are sourcing ICT Platform Integration Specialists or Systems Engineers with Navy Platform and ICT System experience. You will be responsible for ensuring platform engineering requirements for the capability, collaborating with team members, providing engineering advice and guidance to the project delivery manager, and managing the risks and hazards associated with such a complex project.

• You will ensure the capability is designed and developed in alignment with the Functional Performance Specification (FPS), Technical Assurance Framework (ICT-TAF), and Engineering Change management processes.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement with platform Groups and SPOs, and other stakeholders critical to successful installation.
• You have experience with the strategic planning and coordination of engineering resources to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.

Candidates with experience working within the maritime domain will be highly regarded.  Our work is highly complex and confidential, applicants must be Australian citizens with a minimum NV2 security clearance. Additionally, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be necessary. In some cases, this may impose restrictions on individuals with dual nationality, permanent residency, or former nationality of specific countries as outlined in ITAR 126.1.
