Project Manager

Cleared are currently supporting a fast-growing Canberra-based consultancy that are searching for Senior Project Managers to support the delivery of mission-critical projects within the Department of Defence.

The ideal candidates will possess a deep understanding of project management, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects within Defence environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring that all objectives are met within the agreed scope, budget, and timeline.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocations, risk management strategies, and budget controls.
• Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure clear communication, alignment on project goals, and effective issue resolution.
• Provide leadership and direction to multi-disciplinary and inter-company project teams, ensuring high performance and adherence to best practices in project management.
• Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and prepare detailed status reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful outcomes.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project team, implementing lessons learned and promoting innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience delivering complex projects
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), and best practices.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are highly desirable.
• Experience working with Department of Defence.

Security Clearance:

• Due to the nature of the requirement, a minimum of an NV2 security clearance is required.
