Workshop Lead

A leading company in the water pump industry, based in South Australia with its headquarters in Italy, is seeking a full-time Workshop Lead to join our team in Gillman, South Australia.

Role Responsibilities:

Supervising and coordinating workshop activities, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality work

Building and assembling pump systems, ensuring all components meet safety and quality standards

Repairing and maintaining pumps, including troubleshooting and welding when required

Assisting the dispatch team with order preparation and loading, as needed

Overseeing workshop safety and ensuring compliance with company procedures

Maintaining tools, equipment, and workshop inventory

Completing necessary documentation and reports to track progress and inventory

Liaising with the warehouse and sales teams to ensure timely delivery of products

The successful applicant will have:

Strong knowledge of the pump industry and hands-on experience with pump assembly, repair, and maintenance

Practical experience with welding, technical repairs, and troubleshooting

Supervisory experience in a workshop or technical environment

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work

Ability to work independently and manage a small team effectively

Forklift and relevant safety certifications are advantageous

Welding qualification

Excellent communication skills to provide clear instructions to staff and liaise with other departments

This position reports to the Operations Manager and will receive support from the sales team and the existing workshop team in all aspects of the work.
