Job Purpose

The Documentation Technician is responsible for supporting the teams to deliver projects by designing and maintaining the highest document.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality project documentation for projects to profit and on time using Revit, CAD and Sketchup
• Management of the document library
• Regularly improving and adding to the documentation library
• Continually advising and training the design team on updates to the library
• Sharing shortcuts, lisp programs, and beneficial AutoCAD functions with the design team
• Production of working drawings, plans, elevations, joinery and partition details
• Managing small projects independently from time to time
• Manage the contribution of documents within project financials

Key Result Areas

• Deliver documentation for projects profitably and on time
• Support the design team in all aspects of the projects
• Demonstrated understanding of project financials
• Expert use of Revit, CAD and Sketchup

Education and Experience

• Minimum 7+ years’ experience managing and producing documentation for architectural and interior design projects
• Expert in Revit, with experience in AUTOCAD and Sketchup
• Experience in other high-profile architecture practices and/or projects preferred
• Knowledge of industry standard documentation protocols
• Strong knowledge of interior products and construction methods
• Strong understanding of joinery construction, detailing as well as building detailing
• Ability to produce prototype details with the design team where required
• Value managing all details to ensure the constructability and cost is on or under
• Strong knowledge of BCA Codes and Australian standards
