Child Care Educator OSHC

About The Role We are looking for casual educators to support and build our Balgowlah OSHC team. Our OSHC is located on the beautiful grounds of St Cecilia’s Balgowlah Primary School and is open from 7:00am to 9am in the mornings and from 3:00pm to 6pm in the afternoons Monday to Friday during term time. The service also runs Pupil free days from 7:30am- 6:00pm. We have casual shifts available during term time with the potential for extra shifts across all our Northern Beaches sites including Vacation Care work. Roster flexibility and reliability to turn up to a shift will be key to being successful in this role. This casual position would provide flexibility for someone already studying or working part time. Duties To be successful as a Casual Childcare Educator for an OSHC program you will have:

• Ability to build ongoing positive relationships with children, their families and school staff.
• A commitment to ensuring all policies, procedures and regulatory frameworks is met.
• An understanding about safeguarding children and provision of a safe work environment.
• Attend training as required.
• Be reliable and flexible with shift availability.

Requirements

• Working With Children Check and Criminal History Check

Highly Desirable

• Experience in working in Outside School Hours Care
• Qualifications- Diploma or Cert III in OSHC
• Strong communication and relationship building skills, with the team and with children aged 5-12
