• The position involves: Designing, staging, testing and supporting industrial network projects during the full project cycle which includes design, build, commission and operations phase.
• Provide consulting services for clients.
• Deliver high quality technical work to successfully execute changes in technology infrastructure. HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:* 3+ years experience in Industrial Network Engineering
• Practical experience in the configuration, development, operations and implementation of any of the following hardware products in the Industrial / Mining / Resource industry would be desirable:
• Cisco (required), Ruggedcom, Hirschmann / Connexium, Moxa, Stratix
• Technical Requirements (Experience in one or more of the following):
• TCP/IP Process Control Systems Network Protocols (such as Modbus TCP, CIP, DNP3, EGD, Profibus, Profinet, OPCUA, Ethernet/IP protocols)
• Layer 2 and 3 switching and routing
• Firewalls / ISE implementations
• Redundant communication protocols (RSTP, MRP and REP)
• Network Architecture Design
• Wireless networking routing & switching
• NMS (Network Management Systems)
• QoS (Quality of Service)
• Software Defined Networking (SDN)
• LTE and Wireless Networking
• CCTV and VoIP
• Hyper-V / VMware Technologies / virtualized environments
• Dell Server Architectures DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE / PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES / PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:* Understanding in the application of Australian Standards and industry conventions. – Mining or Ports Sector in particular
• Developed skills in the development of technical documents and associated artefacts.
• Analytical troubleshooting skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
