About the Role
Join our fantastic team with an opportunity for a Business Development Manager to take their freight forwarding career to the next level!
Based in Fremantle, you will join a passionate and supportive team that has a wealth of experience and knowledge and that will support your professional growth.
Reporting directly to the State Manager and working closely with our Operations Manager and Operations team, you will actively build your sales pipeline, exploring and securing new and profitable business across all trade lanes in sea and air freight through cold calling and converting leads.

As an experienced Business Development Manager, you will know the role is hands on and can be busy, and you will relish both the challenge and opportunity to go the extra mile and deliver an amazing customer experience for our clients.
To be successful you will:
- Have prior experience in freight forwarding in a sales role is desirable and will be highly regarded
- Be a ‘hunter’ with a strong track record in successfully identifying new business opportunities and developing customer relationships
- Understand the end-to-end sales process with experience in sourcing rates and quoting
- Be well organised, with a strong attention to detail
- Be able to effectively manage your time to meet deadlines
- Enjoy helping customers, with a drive to deliver outstanding customer service
- Be an excellent and confident communicator in-person, phone, MS Teams and email
- Being confident to cold call and develop new leads
- Enjoying working as part of a team, and independently
- Have basic computer skills with Cargowise knowledge and experience (or similar) highly desirable
- We are open to an experienced freight forwarding customer service / account manager wanted to next the next steps in their career to BDM.
- A high level of respect for processes and laws
